Sandals: the colours of spring 2024

Spring is here! It’s time to put on your favourite sandals so you can enjoy the first rays or pack your suitcase for the long weekends in May. But how do you choose the right colours of sandals to complete your wardrobe? We’ve sounded out the fashion trends to help you make the right choice.

The choice of colour depends on your tastes and your mood of the day, while respecting the harmony of colours for a look that reflects your image. So, which sandals are you going to fall for this year?

Which sandals will liven up a neutral look?

When choosing the colour of your sandals, it’s important to consider your current wardrobe. If you’re wearing mainly classic colours like white, black, grey or beige, it might be a good idea to add a splash of colour with sandals in vibrant colours. A welcome touch of fantasy, the bold detail that makes all the difference.

Royal blue sandals: powerful

Royal blue lives up to its name: a rich, powerful colour, to be paired with off-white (see photo) or light denim to soften the overall spirit of your outfit. With royal blue or cobalt blue sandals, you can indulge in a little sartorial extravagance or opt for a sober navy blue. A bright, vibrant hue that’s right up there with the times!

Cherry red sandals: elegance

Deeper than a classic red, more vibrant than brown, easier to wear than aubergine…

We’re rolling out the red carpet for cherry red: an elegant shade to match with grey, beige or plum, and why not with a floral motif (see photo).

The icing on the summer cake!

Orange sandals: a touch of blush

The Pantone colour for 2024 is Peach Fuzz, a soft, radiant, warm peach.

At Minorquines, we’re pushing the colour envelope to make sure your sandals stand out against the sand (see photo). A bold, vitamin-packed hue that gives you energy!

We’re crazy about these sparkling, sun-kissed tones that are sure to liven up our look at the end of winter. A shade that evokes sunsets, for feet that look their best.

What to wear with your orange sandals? They’re the perfect complement to well-behaved tones like beige or khaki, and on golden skin they go wonderfully with a total white look.

Sandals for a colourful look

Do you already have lots of colourful pieces in your wardrobe? Let them take centre stage and slip your feet into neutral coloured sandals like nude, brown or white. These shades are easy to match and have the good taste to go well with each other too (see photo). A winning choice all round.

Powder pink sandals: on cloud nine

Light and versatile, pale pink enhances your everyday looks and lends itself effortlessly to more formal outfits. A soft, sorbet-like, delicate colour palette with a hint of retro. What to wear with powder pink sandals? We recommend opting for white (see photo), denim blue or a pastel shade for a sunnier look.

Nude sandals: minimalist

Organic, soft and soothing shades that go so well with our comfortable Minorquines! Cream, sand, off-white, greige: they make any outfit chic. When it comes to colours, mix & match with sky blue (see photo), white, orange-pink, brick or coral (see photo). Another option is the total earth look: a cameo of brown, khaki, nude and beige for a casual chic look that favours fluid materials.

Our favourite: pistachio (or sage) green sandals

Very popular this year, this deliciously spring-like colour is distinguished by its subtlety. At once tender, fresh and delicate, it evokes pastel shades without the icy edge.

What to wear with your pistachio green sandals? Pair them with linen clothes or predominantly navy blue patterns (see photo).

There’s only one step from pistachio green to khaki! And khaki flatters all skin tones.

The best way to choose your sandals is to keep in mind the strongest pieces in your wardrobe, the ones you wear most often. The idea is to have a pair in nude tones for a look that’s suitable for all situations, and a more original pair to vary the pleasures.
